Chief Charles Coyle

Chief Coyle has dedicated his career to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue since joining the department in 2004. Rising through the ranks, he has served as a Paramedic, Firefighter, Lieutenant, Operational Captain, and EMS Training Captain before being promoted to Division Chief. Recognized for his leadership and expertise, Chief Coyle was selected in 2013 to join the Training and Safety Division, where he played a pivotal role in developing and implementing new EMS protocols and creating a comprehensive paramedic training and testing process from the ground up. As the sole EMS educator in the division, he was responsible for overseeing the EMS training of over 1,500 paramedics in the department. In addition to establishing the organizational structure for Palm Beach County's Medical Service Division, Chief Coyle has recently been entrusted with developing a similar framework to support the mental and physical wellness of the department's dedicated personnel, continuing his commitment to the health and safety of those he serves with.
At the NMETC EMS Summit, Chief Coyle will be presenting “Saving Young Lives: Mastering Pediatric High-Performance CPR.”
