Dr. Christie L. Fritz

Christie Fritz, MD, MS, serves as EMS and emergency medicine faculty at BIDMC/Harvard Medical School. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine as well as Tufts University School of Medicine’s MBS program. She completed a residency in emergency medicine where she served as chief resident as well as a fellowship in EMS at BIDMC. Dr. Fritz is board certified in EMS as well as Emergency Medicine. She serves as the resident EMS rotation coordinator, Associate EMS Medical Director, Cataldo Education Center Medical Director, BIDMC Ambulance Service Medical Director as well as Associate Director for the EMS fellowship at BIDMC. Her career interests include healthcare disparities in medicine, including gender disparities and sexual assault, educating residents and prehospital providers and researching protocol implementation on a national level.

At the NMETC EMS Summit, Dr. Fritz will be discussing recent high profile pre-hospital behavioral emergency cases as well as provider approaches to patient de-escalation and sedation choices.
